What Makes the Damon System Different?

  • Fast treatment time and fewer office visits:  If you want a shorter treatment time, the Damon System is right for you.  Shorter treatment time means fewer appointments and a beautiful smile faster than traditional braces.
  • Beautiful faces ad beautiful smiles!  The Damon System's unique treatment philosophy goes beyond straightening teeth.  We analyze each patients' face, profile and other factors, anticipating what you will look like in your 40s, 50s, and beyond to create a broad, beautiful smile.
  • Outstanding comfort:  Forget having your braces tightened.  The Damon System uses tie-less brackets to reduce pressure on your teeth and allow them to move more comfortably to their correct positions.
  • Braces for all ages:  At any age, straight teeth and a beautiful smile can enhance self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as improve your overall oral health.

Over 20 Wilmington Children Receive a FREE Smile!

At Campbell Orthodontics, we see firsthand on a daily basis how a new smile can change the attitude and life of a child.  It is a remarkable transformation that increases self-confidence and inspires hope for many individuals at an important time in their life...their youth.  After witnessing this transformation countless times, Dr. Campbell decided to start the Wilmington and Tri-County chapter of the nationally known non-profit, Smile for a Lifetime.  Since it's inception in 2010, over 20 children in need from our community have received the gift of FREE orthodontic treatment through the Smile for a Lifetime orthodontic scholarships.

Do you know someone struggling financially who is in need of orthodontic treatment?  Simply visit our website at www.campbellsmiles.com and click on the Smile for a Lifetime link on the homepage.  This will take you to the Smile for a Lifetime requirements and application.  Our Board of Directors meets twice a year (April and October) to select recipients and looks forward to awarding another child in need with the gift of a new smile!

April is National Facial Protection Month

When do you need a mouth guard?
Any time you participate in sports!
Let's work together to protect that smile of yours.  Just by wearing a mouth guard, you reduce the risk of knocking out teeth or breaking your jaw.  Any time you're engaged in an activity where your face can come in contact with something hard-say another player, a ball, the pavement, or any hard object-it's a time that you should be wearing a mouth guard!  Mouth guards are a smart investment in your dental health.  If you currently are enrolled in sports and do not have a mouth guard, we would be happy to supply you with one.  Just ask us about mouth guards at your next appointment!  We want to do all we can to help you protect that great smile!

Why Age 7 is the Right Time to See an Orthodontist.

While your child's teeth might appear to be straight, there may actually be a problem that needs to be evaluated by an orthodontist.  If you recognize any of the following issues with your child, please schedule a check-up with our office.  It may be one of the most important actions you can take to ensure your child's healthy and happy smile.
  • Early or late loss of baby teeth
  • Difficulty in chewing or biting
  • Mouth breathing
  • Jaws that shift or make sounds
  • Speech difficulties
  • Biting the cheek or the roof of the mouth
  • Facial imbalance
  • Grinding or clenching of the teeth
  • Thumb or finger sucking
